Heppner freshman Naomi Propheter shot a two-day 170 to finish second over at the 4A/3A/2A/1A District 6 District Tournament at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Baker City, and earn a spot to the state tournament.
“She played really well and knows she can play better,” Heppner coach Donald Matthews said.
“She has been playing competitive golf since she was little.”
Propheter is the first Heppner girl to earn a trip to state since 2019, when her older sister Nicole led the Mustangs to a third-place finish at state.
