RIVERSIDE 3, UMATILLA 1— The Pirates opened Eastern Oregon League play with a 25-19, 25-21, 25-27, 25-16 road win over the Vikings.
Kaylee Christy led Riverside (2-1 overall, 1-0 EOL) with 17 kills and six blocks, while Elaina Salgado had 12 kills and Kasey Salgado handed out 67 assists.
Nya Rodarte led the Vikings (1-2, 0-1) with eight kills and two aces, while Yoselin Macias had six kills and two aces, and Olivia McCallister had nine assists, six aces and two kills.
