MCLOUGHLIN 3, UMATILLA 1 — The Pioneers ended a six-match skid with a 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, 25-15 Eastern Oregon League road win over the Vikings.

“Our girls won the first set, but struggled to maintain consistency and accumulate points,” Mac-Hi coach Kassiey Ruiz said. “After the second-set loss, we managed to come together and use our hitters for some great points.”

Miley Rhoads led the Pioneers (7-8 overall, 2-3 EOL) with 11 kills and one block, while Addy Leonetti had seven assists and four aces, Brynlee Miller six kills and three aces, Emily Arroyo seven aces, and Abi Perkins four aces, four assists and two kills.

For Umatilla, Alyiah Howard had five kills, two blocks and two aces, while Nya Rodarte had six kills and four aces, and Bianca Espinoza had 11 assists, two kills and two aces.
