UMATILLA 3, STANFIELD 2 — The Viking overcame an early deficit to beat the Tigers 16-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19, 17-15 in a nonleague road match.
“We started off a bit rough and lost the first two sets,” Umatilla coach Ashley McAdams said. “Then the girls gave it everything they had and fought back to win the next three. It was quite the game until the very end. I’m beyond proud of how hard these girls worked tonight and how they never gave up and showed everyone what they are made of.”
Naeyeli Rodarte led the Vikings (2-7) with nine kills, while Olivia McCallister had eight kills, Yoselin Macias seven kills, and Bianca Espinoza six aces.
