BURNS 3, UMATILLA 0 — The top-ranked Hilanders made a clean sweep of their Eastern Oregon League matches in the Columbia Basin, beating the Vikings 26-12, 257, 25-11.

Naeyeli Rodarte had four kills for Umatilla (2-9 overall, 1-2 EOL).

UMATILLA 3, IRRIGON 0 — Jose Campos scored a goal in each half to lead the Vikings to a road win over the Knights. Campos and Brayden Nava scored in the first half for Umatilla (6-3-1), and Campos finished scoring in the second half.

Miguel Mendez recorded the shutout for the Viking, but did not have any saves.

ELMIRA 26, UMATILLA 14 — Linkin Zamudio ran for 129 yards and one touchdown, and Bryce Morris caught a touchdown pass, but it wouldn’t be enough as the Falcons beat the Vikings at home for their first win of the season.

Elmira (1-3) opened the game with a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

Zamudio score his touchdown for Umatilla (1-2) in the second quarter, but the Vikings still trailed 20-6 at the half.

The Falcons took a 26-6 lead after three quarters, but Morris scored and added the 2-point conversion in the fourth to close the gap.

Xzavier Rodriguez threw for 112 yards and one touchdown for Umatilla, while Morris was on the receiving end of six passes for 75 yards. Judah Tesch caught four passes for 37 yards.

Defensively, Zamudio had seven tackles, while David Arroyo had six and Morris five.

Connor Cutsforth threw for 115 yards and two touchdowns for Elmira, while Tyson Wasak ran for 145 yards and one touchdown.
