Mask for COVID

We continue to see increases in COVID-19 cases; however, mitigation efforts continue to help. We had fourteen staff and twelve student cases this week. The metric is updated. OHA has again changed contact tracing requirements and we will no longer contact trace for in-school exposures if students are masked properly. Contact tracing during meal time and athletic exposures (when students are unmasked) will continue. For the full guidance on this, please see their release here

Schools continue to be spaces with multiple mitigation procedures in place and we continue to have success in reducing or eliminating spread. Keeping schools open and in session fully remains our top priority. We do monitor illness absences daily and will need to consider closures for quarantining purposes only if we exceed 20% illness absences. At this time, we have not reached even half this number and are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to continue this positive trend.

Thank you for your continued partnership. Reporting, masking, and testing is all helping and we appreciate your help.
