Fall isn't complete without a trip to the pumpkin patch! Life Skills students from Mrs. Humphreys' class had a blast picking out pumpkins and carving them for Halloween last Friday!

The Pozole Taste Test earlier this month at CBMS was a success! Several students loved this nutritious food item and it will be added to the menu starting in November. Check out the recipe attached below to enjoy this meal at home!

Last week, students in Ms. Lorence's class showcased their creativity by making beautiful Sugar Skulls to celebrate the Day of the Dead. They used icing, sugar, and their imagination to create stunning masterpieces.

The vision screenings scheduled for this month at CBMS and MHES have been rescheduled. Vision screenings will now take place on October 31st at CBMS and November 2nd at MHES.

Winter weather is coming! If your student needs a coat, please stop by the district office between 10am and 2pm Monday-Friday to pick one up. Thank you to the Brotherhood of Bikers and Charlotte Baxter with Old Nicks for organizing and delivering the coat donations.

Students at CBMS are enjoying the newest addition to their recess- a Gaga Ball pit! Gaga Ball is a high-energy game similar to dodgeball, where players aim to be the last one standing. Thank you to our maintenance team for setting this up for students!

Unity Day is tomorrow, October 18th! Wear and share orange to show you are united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. We believe in a campus full of acceptance, inclusion, and kindness for all! October is also National Bullying Prevention month. Bullying can be prevented through sharing kindness, promoting acceptance, and encouraging inclusion.
