Reminder for families: Today was the last day to buy tickets for the Thanksgiving feasts at McNary Heights Elementary and Columbia Vista Intermediate. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets. We look forward to seeing MHES and CVI families next week.

Join us for a special Thanksgiving Feast with your student! Tickets will be available for purchase on Wednesday, November 5, from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Umatilla School District Office. Don’t toss those picture packets just yet! 📸 Even if you didn’t purchase school pictures, each packet from Barksdale includes a secure image card on the back with your child’s photo. These cards are great to keep on hand in case of an emergency. They provide a current picture that can be shared with law enforcement if ever needed. Check the back before you recycle!

Last Thursday, the STEAM Academy hosted open houses at MHES and CVI, inviting families to see what students have been working on in STEAM. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Families, this is a friendly reminder to contact the office before 2:30 pm Monday through Thursday or before 11:15 am on Friday if you need to leave a message for your student. If your student’s end-of-day plans change, such as being picked up instead of walking or needing to ride the bus, calling early helps ensure we can deliver the message in time. Thank you!

Columbia Vista Intermediate celebrated their 1st Quarter REP Awards last Wednesday! 🎉 REP stands for Respect, Excellence, and Perseverance, the school’s theme for the year. Teachers recognized students who stood out for showing respect this quarter. Congratulations to all the students who were recognized!

Thank you to Mrs. Trevino and her leadership class for planning the assemblies and creating videos that helped share the REP message in a fun way!

Los maestros reconocieron a los estudiantes que se destacaron por demostrar respeto durante este trimestre. ¡Felicitaciones a todos los estudiantes que fueron reconocidos!
