McNary Heights Food Waste Competition is underway!
On April 19th, MHES completed its fourth food waste audit of the year and started its food waste competition. In total, MHES threw away 306.7 pounds of waste.
Each grade threw away:
Pre-K - 13.8 pounds
Kinder - 57.6 pounds
1st-Grade - 45.1 pounds
2nd-Grade - 56.7 pounds
3rd-Grade - 50.3 pounds
4th-Grade - 35.9 pounds
5th-Grade - 45.7 pounds
Pre-K threw away the least amount of food but will not compete in the competition due to its small class size. This places fourth grade in the lead!
