MHES celebrated the end of the school year with lots of fun activities for students. Read all about them below!
Behavior Parties
Monday, June 5, MHES recognized students with good behavior with Behavior Parties. The day was split in half with the K-2nd grade’s party in the morning and the 3rd-5th grade’s party in the afternoon. Students were able to eat snow cones, jump in bouncy houses, and slide down water slides. Thank you to our maintenance crew and MHES staff for helping put together this event for students! OMSI Assemblies
Students had a blast learning about physics and how it works around us each day at the OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) Assemblies on June 6th. Students were able to volunteer and participate in Sir Isaac Newton’s 300 year-old experiments using ordinary objects. Thank you to Lexi from OMSI for visiting MHES and presenting to our students! Kinder Graduation

Talent Show

5th-Grade Goodbye Walk
McNary Heights said goodbye to their 5th graders with an all-school Goodbye Walk! Students grades K-4 lined up outside at the end of the school day and wished the 5th graders good luck on their journey next year as Vikings at Clara Brownell. Fiestas de Comportamiento
El lunes 5 de junio, MHES reconoció a los estudiantes con buen comportamiento con Fiestas. El día se dividió a la mitad con la fiesta de los grados K-2 en la mañana y la fiesta de los grados 3-5 en la tarde. Los estudiantes pudieron comer conos de nieve, saltar en casas inflables y jugar por toboganes de agua. ¡Gracias a nuestro equipo de mantenimiento y al personal de MHES por ayudar a organizar este evento para los estudiantes! Asambleas de OMSI
Los estudiantes se divirtieron mucho aprendiendo sobre la física y cómo funciona a nuestro alrededor cada día en las asambleas del OMSI (Museo de Ciencia e Industria de Oregón). Los estudiantes pudieron ser voluntarios y participar en los experimentos de 300 años de antigüedad de Sir Isaac Newton utilizando objetos ordinarios. ¡Gracias a Lexi de OMSI por visitar MHES y presentar a nuestros estudiantes! Caminata de Despedida de Grado 5
¡McNary Heights se despidió de sus alumnos de quinto grado con una caminata de despedida para toda la escuela! Los estudiantes de los grados K-4 hicieron fila afuera al final del día escolar y desearon suerte a los estudiantes de grado 5 en su viaje el próximo año como vikingos en Clara Brownell.
