UHS Fall Sports Practices Begin August 17 Football Volleyball Soccer Cross-Country Cheer

Fall sports practices at Umatilla High School begin August 17. Students planning to participate in a fall sport this season should review the following requirements before the season begins.

Incoming freshmen, juniors, and athletes who are new must have a current physical and complete Impact testing before participating. Free sports physicals are available at the Umatilla Clinic. All athletes must also submit a completed proof of insurance form.

Athletes are required to complete 10 practices before they are eligible to participate in their first game of the season. Students must also maintain at least a 2.2 GPA and attend school regularly. Students who finished last spring with a GPA below 2.2 will not be eligible to participate in fall sports.

Umatilla High School’s fall coaching staff includes:

  • Football: John Williams

  • Volleyball: Ashley McAdams

  • Boys Soccer: Pedro Ortiz

  • Girls Soccer: Edgar Navarrette

  • Cross-Country: Cathy Gertsch
