Congratulations to Umatilla High School students who received academic and perfect attendance awards Tuesday night! Almost 200 students received awards for the first semester, and over 400 total awards were given out! Perfect attendance winners were Natelie, Lance, Liam, Joshua, Donovan, Dominick, and Alexa! Way to go, Vikings! One student per grade level was also chosen to receive the Viking Award! Recipients of this award are students who exemplify what it means to be a Viking. They are leaders in school and work to succeed academically and in every activity/sport/club they participate in. Congratulations, Viking Award winners! Congratulations, UHS Wrestling! Justus took 1st at 220 and us a District Champion! Luis 2nd at 220 and Jose took 3rd. All three wrestlers are headed to State. We are proud of you, Vikings!

Umatilla High School’s Chess Club members; Cooper, Eden, Chance, Chase, and Ian competed in the Regional 23 Tournament for Oregon’s Chess for Success Organization this past weekend! Two members, Cooper and Chance, tied for third place, making them eligible for the state tournament this April. Way to go, Vikings!

What another successful Family Night! Thank you to all the friends and families who joined us for our Family Night and Resource Fair last Friday. Families enjoyed food, music, face painting, and connecting with various resource organizations. Families also viewed dance performances from attendees of the Migrant Education Program Folkloric dance classes.
