McNary Heights parents, you may have noticed a discrepancy in the calendar sent home with students. Please know that the Umatilla High School graduation is on Saturday, June 3rd, not May 27th, which is noted incorrectly on the calendar.

Congratulations to McNary Heights Vice Principal, Tim Young! Mr. Young completed the 127th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 17th. The marathon is an annual race that is 26.2 miles long! Pictured with Mr. Young is his dad who also ran the marathon in 2012. We are so happy that Mr. Young could share this moment with his dad and are so proud of his incredible accomplishment! ¡Felicitaciones al subdirector de McNary Heights, Tim Young! Support our UHS Softball team and help them honor McNary Heights Elementary School teacher Jordan Bennett at tomorrow's "Strike-Out Cancer" softball game! Game time is at 4 o'clock at the UHS softball field. Before the game, at 3:50pm, a brief recognition ceremony will be held for Jordan Bennett. ¡Apoye a nuestro equipo de sóftbol de UHS y ayúdalos a honrar a la maestra de la escuela primaria de McNary Heights, Jordan Bennett, en el juego de sóftbol "Strike-Out Cancer" de mañana! McNary Heights' latest Food Tasting was Broccoli-Raisin Salad! This salad was made from broccoli, raisins, bacon, and a mayonnaise sauce. Students who enjoyed this food item got to take the recipe home! ¡La última degustación de comida de la cafetería McNary Heights fue la ensalada de brócoli con pasas! National School Librarian Day is April 4th! Please join us in recognizing the professionals who keep our libraries in working order. They are dedicated to helping students find the resources they need and help our students fall in love with reading. This week was the start of McNary Heights’s Marathon! The marathon encourages students to run/walk the track during their first recess. After every ten laps they collect a toe token! ¡Esta semana fue el comienzo del maratón de McNary Heights! Registration forms for session four of the STEAM Academy are now available at all three schools! Forms must be turned in by Thursday, March 23rd. Students and their families are invited to see their teachers working at McDonalds! Students will get to see their teachers behind the scenes passing out food, selling cookies, and much more!
