We appreciate the parents and staff who alerted us to a concerning Facebook post this morning. We have reported the concern to the Umatilla Police Department. Please support modeling appropriate social media usage for students. When safety concerns exist, https://www.safeoregon.com/ is a way to report things immediately (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) to both police and school staff at the same time. Reports can even be anonymous. Sharing unconfirmed allegations is potentially cyberbullying. Reporting concerns through appropriate channels helps protect student safety.

After-school buses are running behind schedule today. They were stuck in traffic due to an accident on Highways 730 and 395. - Los autobuses del programa después de clases están retrasados hoy. Se quedaron atrapados en el tráfico debido a un accidente en las carreteras 730 y 395.

The Umatilla Fire Department visited McNary Heights Elementary on October 7th and 8th to present Fire Prevention Week lessons to all K–3 classes. Students learned important fire safety tips and each received a goodie bag to take home.

A big thank you to the Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District for teaching our students how to stay safe and prepared!

El Departamento de Bomberos de Umatilla visitó McNary Heights Elementary el 7 y 8 de octubre para presentar lecciones de la Semana de Prevención de Incendios a todas las clases de K–3. Los estudiantes aprendieron consejos importantes sobre seguridad contra incendios y cada uno recibió una bolsa de regalos para llevar a casa.

Thank you for the amazing response, Umatilla Police Department and Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District, and other emergency responders! All is resolved and we're back in normal operations and roadways are re-opening for traffic. Thank you!

Yesterday was another fun day of Homecoming Week! It was Mathlete vs. Athlete Day, and at CVI it was Twin Day. We saw so many great looks across all our schools! During UHS’s assembly, students and staff had a pedal bike rematch and joined in on other fun games. We’ll be posting photos of the Wednesday night Homecoming activities soon, so keep an eye out!

¡Ayer fue otro día divertido de la Semana de Homecoming! Fue el día de Mathlete vs. Athlete, y en CVI fue el Día de los Gemelos. ¡Vimos muchos atuendos creativos en todas nuestras escuelas! Durante la asamblea de UHS, estudiantes y personal tuvieron una revancha de bicicletas de pedales y participaron en otros juegos divertidos. Muy pronto estaremos compartiendo fotos de las actividades del miércoles por la noche de Homecoming.

Yesterday’s Homecoming theme brought double the fun! Students and staff dressed as twins and iconic duos for “Birds of a Feather” day, while CVI rocked Pajama vs. Jersey Day!

Big thank you to Sergeant Sullivan for bringing pedal cars for Umatilla High School’s assembly. Students and staff had a blast racing around the court!
