Our Umatilla Parent Club hosted an Appreciation Night to thank our incredible parent volunteers for their hard work and dedication in supporting families in our district. They spent the evening decorating cakes – a sweet way to recognize their contributions! Riverside Sporting Events Expectations First remember we are here to support the efforts of the players and coaches from both teams. Cheer for your team, not against your opponent. For the players and coaches, respect the challenge of your opponent. For the fans, players, and coaches respect the decisions of the officials. STUDENT FANS ARE EXPECTED TO: Be respectful of game officials, players, coaches, opposing fans, and facilities. Cheer positively during the introduction of players, coaches, and officials. Cheer positively for their team and to refrain from negative cheering and chants directed toward their opponents. Demonstrate a concern for injured players on either team. Remember that they represent not only their school, but their community and family as well. Conduct themselves in an appropriate and civil manner. PARENTS AND FANS ARE EXPECTED TO: Respect game officials, players, coaches, and fans. Recognize outstanding performances on either side of the playing field. Be exemplary role models of sportsmanship by supporting teams in every positive manner possible, including content of cheers and signs. Maintain composure at all times At the end of the game/Halftime we need all spectators to remain in the stands till players and officials have left the court. Anyone who cannot follow these expectations will be warned and then asked to leave premises. Being in attendance is a privilege not a right.

We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication to making our schools an amazing place for students to learn and grow! Session Three registration for the STEAM Academy of Umatilla is now open! Registration forms are due by January 16th. Forms are available at each school office and the district office. Late registrations are accepted; however, the first day of attendance and class placement will depend on availability. Session Three will start on Monday, January 27th, and end on March 20th. – ¡Ya está abiertas las inscripciones para la tercera sesión de la Academia STEAM de Umatilla! High school students in Mrs. Fritz’s Food and Travel classes finished preparing their Cookie Kits today, each containing two homemade sugar cookies and two different colored frostings for students to decorate. These kits will be handed out to the entire school tomorrow as part of the fun activities they have planned! – Los estudiantes de la high school en la clase de Comida y Viajes de la Sra.
