Umatilla High School recently held an Attendance Madness Tournament for their 5th period classes! Mrs. Swarat and Mr. Quam’s classes made it to the championship. After a close competition, Mrs. Swarat’s class won with an average of 90% attendance compared to Mr. Quams with 88% attendance. Mrs. Swarat’s class celebrated with donuts!

Key Club members from UHS, partnered with Hermiston’s Key Club, had a memorable experience at the Pacific Northwest District Convention in Portland earlier this month! They participated in divisional competitions, attended workshops, and two of Umatilla’s members contributed to the election of the new PNW District Board. Umatilla’s Key Club was also recognized for their achievements in membership goals and secretary reports. Way to go, Vikings!

Today, Umatilla High School had a blast celebrating Saint Patrick's Day with an assembly full of fun games! As a special twist for Pi Day, ASB put together a fundraiser where students were able to purchase tickets to vote on which staff members they wanted to see get pied in the face. Yesterday was an exciting day for Umatilla High School juniors as they had the opportunity to hear a presentation and visit with representatives from Oregon Public Universities! They gained insights into academic programs, application processes, and learned more about campus life.

These awards honor district employees who are doing an outstanding job in their work and making a difference for students.
Who CAN nominate? Anyone can nominate an employee -- administrators, teachers, paraeducators, other school staff, parents or community members.
Who can BE nominated? Nominees can be any full-time or part-time employee who has a cumulative total of regular service of at least one year in the school district. Licensed, classified, any employee group is eligible.
