Thank you to all the friends and families who joined us for Academic Awards Night! We celebrated the achievements of 223 students who received awards for the 1st semester, totaling 634 awards. Among these, 68 students earned GPAs between 3.5 and 3.9, 30 earned 4.0 GPAs, and 7 maintained perfect attendance. One student per grade level was also chosen to receive the Viking Award! Recipients of this award are students who exemplify what it means to be a Viking. They are leaders in school and work to succeed academically and in every activity/sport/club they participate in. Congratulations to our Viking Award winners, Naeyeli Rodarte, Lexie Soriano-Solis, Avery Gutierrez, and Miles Franks! – ¡Gracias a todos los amigos y familias que nos acompañaron en la Noche de Premios Académicos! Riverside Sporting Events Expectations Welcome to Riverside. We have reserved a spot for Visiting teams and spectators. Spectators are expected to sit behind the visiting team bench in the gym. We do this to help manage the crowd and keep everyone safe. The area will be roped off to help separate the crowd. THank you in advance for your cooperation on this matter. STUDENT FANS ARE EXPECTED TO: Be respectful of game officials, players, coaches, opposing fans, and facilities. Cheer positively during the introduction of players, coaches, and officials. Cheer positively for their team and to refrain from negative cheering and chants directed toward their opponents. Demonstrate a concern for injured players on either team. Remember that they represent not only their school, but their community and family as well. Conduct themselves in an appropriate and civil manner. PARENTS AND FANS ARE EXPECTED TO: Respect game officials, players, coaches, and fans. Recognize outstanding performances on either side of the playing field. Be exemplary role models of sportsmanship by supporting teams in every positive manner possible, including content of cheers and signs. Maintain composure at all times. Anyone who cannot follow these expectations will be warned and then asked to leave premises. Being in attendance is a privilege not a right.

Congratulations to the Umatilla FTC teams who are advancing to the upcoming Oregon FTC Championships! Three teams qualified for the championships at the Umatilla FTC qualifier on Saturday, January 27th. We are proud of you teams, 7470, 7474, and 7497! CBMS had a total of 14 teams compete at the Umatilla qualifier. We appreciate the support from the high school robotics team, alumni, and former robotics parents who volunteered their time to help run the event and make it possible for our students! – ¡Felicidades a los equipos de Umatilla FTC que avanzan al próximo Campeonato de FTC de Oregón!
