Congratulations to Umatilla High School students who received academic and perfect attendance awards last Thursday, June 8th! Perfect attendance winners for second semester were Areli and Rafael. Perfect attendance winners for the entire school year were Joshua and Lance. Excellent work, Vikings! One student per grade level was also chosen to receive the Viking Award! Recipients of this award are students who exemplify what it means to be a Viking. They are leaders in school and work to succeed academically and in every activity/sport/club they participate in. The Umatilla School District’s Summer Feeding Program starts next week on June 20th! It will continue through August 11th. Menus will be posted to the Umatilla School District website and Facebook. The situation is resolved. Thank you, Law Enforcement! All schools have resumed normal operations.

Due to situation downtown, CBMS and UHS are in a precautionary secure status. All students and staff are safe and there is no need for alarm. During secure status, activites inside the school are normal, but exterior doors remain locked. We will resume normal operations as soon as the situation is resolved.

The Umatilla School District mourns the loss of beloved teacher and softball coach, Jordan Bennett. Ms. Bennett passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Crisis counseling support will be in place Monday at both MHES and UHS for students and staff in need of grief services. Our love goes out to the Bennett family during this difficult time. We appreciate and cherish all the good she did for the Umatilla community. The 2022-2023 yearbook has arrived and a limited number of copies are still available to purchase! Senior Spotlight! Libby Hartley has set her sights on Walla Walla Community College, where she'll be pursuing a degree in criminal justice and corrections.
