The Umatilla School District extends a HUGE thank you to the Umatilla Police Officers Association and the Umatilla Police Department who gave 26 students this year the opportunity to participate in Shop with a Cop. Students were able to shop for gifts for their families and received a gift for themselves from Walmart. We appreciate your generosity and all that you do for our students. Thank you also to Hermiston Walmart, Coca Cola, Morrow County Sheriff’s Department, and the Oregon State Police for assisting with this event. We appreciate you all!

In adherence to OSAA regulations, basketball teams are granted the allowance of an extra game beyond the 24-game limit. This season, our girls' team has taken up this opportunity for an additional game, designated as an endowment game. The Girl's Varsity Basketball team is participating in a Basketball Tournament organized by Nixyaawii Community School, dedicated to raising funds for Cancer research. So, today's game against Stanfield serves as our extra endowment game since we are the hosts. It's important to note that Endowment Games do not count towards a school's or individual student's season participation. Admission prices for these games are set at $8 for adults and $5 for students; passes other than the OSAA Media Pass will not be accepted. However, UHS is hosting a food drive competition offering free entry to those who bring in four canned food items. The gross gate receipts from each Endowment Game will be split 70/30 between the OSAA Foundation and the hosting school. The Foundation’s portion of the endowment game revenue and earnings thereon, coupled with tax-deductible contributions, will be used to enhance the future of Oregon High School activities.
