McNary Heights Elementary School

McNary Heights Fall picture retakes are scheduled for Wednesday, November 20th. If you would like a retake of your student’s Fall pictures, please send your student to school on Wednesday with their original picture booklet and order. Students who were absent on picture day or have joined us since then will also have their pictures taken, even without a pre-order. Once the new proofs are available, you’ll have the opportunity to place an order. Join us for the UHS Drama Club Production of “The Seussification of a Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Peter Bloedel. Showings will run from November 14 through November 16th, starting at 7 pm at the Umatilla High School stage. This event is open to the community, and admission is free. FCCLA will have concessions available for purchase. Honoring Veteran’s Day with a special visit! This week, students at McNary Heights Elementary enjoyed hearing Sergeant Hyden read to them and answer their questions. Join us for a Thanksgiving Feast with your student! Each of our schools is hosting a special Thanksgiving meal. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for non-student children (currently enrolled Umatilla School District students eat for free). Tickets can be purchased at conferences, and the feast will take place during your student’s regular lunchtime. For questions or more information, please contact your child’s school. Our kinders had their very own pumpkin patch adventure this week, each picking out their perfect pumpkin! This week at MHES, students got a thrill listening to spooky stories from a vampire! Midco Bus Company has had to make a few changes to the routes on 3 of their buses for MHES. Some pick up and drop of times have been affected. Arr, Mateys! We’ve had a treasure filled week of tasty meals and exciting adventures at MHES! Along with enjoying plenty of tasty and nutritious treats, students were treated to a special visit from Mr. Gall and his parrots. They had a blast learning about the parrots, hearing them talk, and asking Mr. Gall all their curious questions! – ¡Arr, amigos! ¡Hemos tenido una semana llena de comidas deliciosas y aventuras emocionantes en MHES!
