At the site of the new school, Columbia Vista Intermediate, we have beams being placed! Today our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders had the exciting opportunity to visit the site and sign the top beam before watching it be lifted into position. Our students had so much fun seeing the progress made on the new school and were thrilled to be part of its history.

Last Friday, our STEAM students at McNary Heights had an exciting opportunity to meet with John Mejia, a construction engineer! Students learned about his journey to becoming an engineer, explored the work he does, and had the chance to ask questions about the field. A big thank you to John for taking the time to inspire our future innovators and share his story with us!

Students at McNary Heights had the opportunity to taste a new variety of cucumber yesterday! They sampled the English Cucumber—New Zealand strain—grown locally by Walchli Farms in Hermiston, and they loved it! Check out the voting results in the attached pictures.
