This week at MHES, students got a thrill listening to spooky stories from a vampire! Our dual language students also enjoyed spooky tales in Spanish—what a fun way to celebrate the season!

Arr, Mateys! We’ve had a treasure filled week of tasty meals and exciting adventures at MHES! Along with enjoying plenty of tasty and nutritious treats, students were treated to a special visit from Mr. Gall and his parrots. They had a blast learning about the parrots, hearing them talk, and asking Mr. Gall all their curious questions!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Fall Family Party! A special shout out to the Umatilla Fire Department, Umatilla Public Library, and Umatilla Parks and Rec for organizing the Firefighter Day event during the dance. Their booths and activities outside gave families a chance to grab some info, treats, and fun. Inside, families got to dance, play games, enjoy cookies, and take pictures at the photo booth. It was a great afternoon with lots of smiles and connections!
