WOW! McNary Heights Elementary collected 3,272 items during their Canned Food Drive—1,000 more than last year! Thank you to all the families who donated and to the Umatilla Rural Fire Protection District for picking up the items. These donations will help the fire department create food baskets for families in need in our community. A special shout-out to Mrs. Armenta’s 4th-grade class, who brought in the most items and earned a well-deserved Hot Chocolate Party!

Gracias a todas las familias que donaron y al Distrito de Protección Contra Incendios de Umatilla Rural por recoger los artículos. We were thrilled to have so many families join us for the McNary Heights Thanksgiving Feast! A big thank you to everyone who attended, and an extra shoutout to our INCREDIBLE nutrition team for making this event possible. They served nearly 900 meals to our students and families at MHES!

Hwy 730 is closed due to an accident. Students living between Lee Estates and County Line on Viking Route will remain at school. Parents will need to transport them home as we cannot get past the road barriers. Please expect all other routes to be delayed as well.

5th-grade students enjoyed a special performance of the UHS Drama Club’s production of “The Seussification of a Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Peter Bloedel today! They loved the show and had a great time meeting the cast afterward for autographs and questions. Take a small sneak peek at the play in the photos!
