Our afterschool students from CBMS and UHS had a great visit to the Umatilla Museum today, where they learned all about our community’s rich history and culture. Thank you to the Umatilla Oregon Museum for the wonderful experience!

Students at McNary Heights had the opportunity to taste a new variety of cucumber yesterday! They sampled the English Cucumber—New Zealand strain—grown locally by Walchli Farms in Hermiston, and they loved it! Check out the voting results in the attached pictures.

Mrs. Fritz's Food & Travel Class 2 took a fun and educational trip to the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce!
Students were each assigned regions of Oregon and are working on a special project to promote tourism in their areas. They had the opportunity to ask questions, explore marketing materials, and gather valuable information to attract visitors to their regions.
A big thank you to Chamber Director Josiah for hosting our students and sharing his insights!

La clase 2 de Comida y Viajes de la Sra. Fritz realizó un divertido y educativo viaje a la Chamber of Commerce de Umatilla.
A cada estudiante se le asignó una región diferente de Oregón y están trabajando en un proyecto especial para promover el turismo en sus áreas. Tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer preguntas, explorar materiales de mercadeo y encontrar información para ayudar a atraer visitantes a sus regiones.

There has been an incident at the high school's football game where a man attempted to take younger children. Umatilla Police are searching the area and video is being reviewed to assist them. As announced at the game, we request parents keep children with them at the game.
